About the Artist

Kayla (She/Her/Hers) earned her BFA from New York University's Tisch School of the Arts. As a fine artist (painter), actor, and writer, she is deeply passionate about curating and contributing to projects that shift the narrative, particularly those of Black and Brown people. Her work, rooted in empowerment, truth, and pride, seeks to challenge societal norms and celebrate diverse voices.

Being a second generation Jamaican-Canadian has fueled the fire to expand on dreams of freedom, happiness, and belonging. She is always somewhere creating and growing her experiences as an entrepreneur, curator, actor, writer, visual artist, and storyteller.
